Therefore, we see the importance of effective induction, support and supervision, and continuing development of all our staff. Our staff are all Outcome Star trained through Triangle. This training is designed to equip our frontline staff with the knowledge and skills required to use the Outcomes Star with the service users they support.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) states that all staff should receive a comprehensive induction that takes account of recognised standards within the sector and is relevant to their workplace and their role. The relevant induction in this context means the Common Induction Standards/Care Certificate. The Common Induction Standards (CIS) is recognised by CQC as the mandatory structure for good induction.

At Servol Community Services our staff are required to undertake a comprehensive induction of the business. Lone working is not permitted until the CIS are completed, competence has been assessed, and a manager ‘signs off’ the practitioner as ‘safe to leave’ to work alone.
