Robin Smith
Robin is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) who was educated in Guernsey and studied accountancy at Bristol Polytechnic and Derby University. He completed his professional training with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in London. He has held various board positions over 35 years both at Managing Director and Finance Director level with Financial Services organisations. He has since then been the Group Finance Director for Nerine with board appointments on its principal Guernsey based operating subsidiaries including its fiduciary and fund administration companies. The Nerine Group was acquired by the PraxisIFM Group on 6 December 2018 and Mr Smith retains his responsibilities with regard to Nerine subsidiaries as well as a Directorship with PraxisIFM Treasury Services Limited. He is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
He has considerable experience from these roles which at various times, has given him responsibility for a wide range of functions beyond the obvious group financial reporting role being, compliance, fund accounting, operations, information technology, company secretarial and personnel.
